Delbert Kenneth “Del” Lambley Jr., 80, died Thursday, April 11, 2024 at Southwest Medical Center in Liberal.

He was born April 3, 1944 to Delbert and Audrey Lambley.  

He married Carol Weiss in 1965.  He married Jeanne (Thompson) Pospisal Nov. 5, 1982 at the First Christian Church in Guymon, Okla. She preceded him in death.

He attended school in Hooker, Okla., graduating with the Class of 1963. He then attended Okmulgee Technical School in Okmulgee, Okla., graduating in 1965.

Upon graduation he worked in Tulsa, Okla. as a parts manager at the Chick Norton Buick dealership. In 1973 he moved back to Hooker and operated a custom harvesting crew with his father, employing many men from a multitude of countries. He also ran a fleet of trucks and was a lease operator, trucking grain, cattle, processed beef and other goods cross country.

He was a member of the First Christian Church in Hooker, Okla.

Survivors include sons, John Lambley, Hooker, Okla., and Mike Lambley and wife, Mignon, Hooker, Okla.; sister, Bertha Dunn and husband, Joe, Lakeview, Texas; five grandchildren: Kyle Lambley, Boone Lambley, Burke Lambley, Vaughn Lambley, Joelle Pospisal and Kalie (Pospisal) Johnson; and many nieces and nephews.

He was also preceded in death by his parents; and brother, Bill Lambley.

• Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday, April 16, 2024 at the Hooker Wesleyan Church with Pastor Jim Reeves presiding.  

Burial will follow at the Hooker Cemetery in Hooker, Okla.

Memorials in memory of Del may be given to Hooker EMS.  Memorials will be accepted at Bunch – Roberts Funeral Home, P.O. Box 1112, Guymon, Oklahoma 73942.
