tracy beeneTracy Lee Beene, 88, died Wednesday, March 6, 2019 at St. Luke's Hospice House in Kansas City, Mo. 

He was born June 24, 1930 to Bishop and Opal Beene in Gate, Okla. 

He married Geneva Lowther on May 28th, 1954 in Ada, Okla. She survives.

He served in the United States Air Force from 1950 to 1954, achieving the rank of Sergeant. He was a Korean War veteran. 

He worked as a truck driver for Groendyke Transport and Ideal Food Stores in Liberal, and eventually drove for Yellow Freight, transferring to Denver and later Kansas City, Mo., where he retired after more than 20 years with the company. 

Survivors also include four daughters: Debbie Beene Lock, Greenwood, Mo., Diane Beene Strong and husband, Neil, Tomball, Texas, Donna Beene Shank, Wichita, and Dorothy Beene Nichols, Holcomb; siblings: John DeSpain and wife, RaJeanna, Goodwell, Okla., Don DeSpain, Guymon, Okla., and Louise DeSpain Armstrong, Cunningham; 16 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; and six great great grandchildren. 

He is preceded in death by his parents; stepfather, Ora DeSpain; five brothers: Charles Beene, Ora DeSpain Jr., Charles DeSpain, Ron DeSpain, Gary DeSpain, and Laura DeSpain Hill; and one grandchild.
