sharlea wrenSharlea Juanita “Shari” Wren, 77, died Saturday, Aug. 17,2019 at Wheatridge Park Care Center in Liberal. 

She was born July 7, 1942 to Melvin L. and Dorothy (Wallace) Randall in Baca County, Colo.

She married Elmer LeRoy Wren April 26, 1959 in Clayton, N.M. He proceeded her in death Feb. 2, 2006. 

She enjoyed refurbishing lamps, sewing and quilting, knitting, crocheting, and working on photo albums. She also enjoyed going to garage sales and decorating the antiques she found. 

Survivors include sons, L.D. Wren, Liberal, and Darren Dwayne Wren, Coffeyville; sisters: Doretta L. Delay, Debra Charlene Cox, and Benita Suzette Cooper; seven grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren. 

She was also preceded in death by her parents; son, Shayne; and brothers, Eugene Thomas Randall and Douglas LaVerle Randall.

• Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 21, 2019 at the Church of Christ at 2501 North Grant Avenue in Liberal with Pastor Dennis “Skip” Francis presiding. 

Burial will be at 2:30 p.m. CDT/ 1:30 MDT Wednesday, Aug. 21, 2019 at the Stonington Cemetery in Stonington, Colo. 

Friends may call from 3 to 7 p.m. today at the Brenneman-Hornung Funeral Home at 1212 West 2nd Avenue in Liberal. The family will receive friends from 5:30 to 7 p.m.

Memorials are suggested to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society in care of Brenneman Funeral Home 1212 W. 2nd Liberal, KS 67901.
