Richard Anthony Hidalgo Sr., 71, died Wednesday, March 20, 2019 in Satanta.

He was born July 1, 1947 in Dalhart, Texas to Paul Hidalgo and Cecilia (Vigil) Hidalgo. 

He worked as a truck driver most of his life. 

He was an avid motorcycle rider and he was a member of the VFW in Liberal. 

Survivors include sons, Richard Hidalgo, Jr. and wife Christina, Clayton, N.M., and Adrian Hidalgo, Clayton, N.M.; daughter, April Geary and husband, Heath, Clayton, N.M.; eight grandchildren: James Hidalgo, Alex Hidalgo, Drew Hidalgo, Kassie Geary, Koy Geary, Keegan Geary, Lashon Jiminez and husband, Johnny, and Jonoven Hidalgo; four sisters: Paulette Taylor and husband Randy, Duncan, Okla., Becky Hidalgo, Duncan, Okla., Rosalie Bolles and husband, Larry, Duncan, Okla., and Carolyn Montoya and husband, Robert, Moore, Okla.; brothers, Ronnie Hidalgo and wife, Joan, Hennepin, Okla., and Paul Hidalgo and wife, Kim, Hooker, Okla.; and many nieces, nephews and cousins. 

He was preceded in death by his parents; sons, James Hidalgo and Conrad Hidalgo; and sisters, Sally Ann Hidalgo and Patsy Norman.

• Rosary will be recited at 9 a.m. Tuesday, March 26, 2019 by Deacon P. Louis Montoya at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Clayton, N.M. 

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Clayton, N.M. with Fr. Joel Bugas presiding. 

Burial will follow in the Clayton Memorial Cemetery by Hass Funeral Directors of Clayton. 

Memorials are suggested to the Oklahoma Heart Hospital.
