randy gilmoreRandy Gilmore, 62, died Saturday, Aug. 17, 2019 at the KU Medical Center in Kansas City. 

He was born March 21, 1957 to Jim and Marlene Gilmore in Ellinwood.

He married Virginia Gail (Ginny) Johnson March 25, 1983 in Liberal. She survives.

He was co-owner of Gilmore’s Roustabout Service, Inc. for 25 years.

He loved to fish and was most happy on his land at Lake Murval, Texas, fishing with his partner-in-crime and fishing buddy, Tim Gunther.

Survivors also include his mother; sons, Nick Gilmore, Liberal, and Jerrod Gilmore, Yukon, Okla.; brothers, Scott and Jennifer Gilmore, Lawrence, and Darin and Linda Gilmore, Liberal; sister, Tammie and Travis Katzenmeier, Mesa, Ariz.; sisters-in-law: Catherine and Tom Burdge, Liberal, Debbie Harvey, Salina, and Ranita Gilbert, Medicine Lodge; Brother-in-law, Jimmy Johnson, Liberal; niece, Tiffani Gilmore, Liberal; grandchildren: Taylor Tripp, Tulsa, Okla., Kaleb Woods, Tulsa, Okla., Kenzie Cooley, Meade, Aubree Gilmore, Carthage, Mo., and Conner & Lyla Gilmore, Plains; and many other friends and relatives.

He was preceded in death by his father; son, Chad Woods; brothers, David Gilmore and Todd Gilmore; grandmother, Nettie Crotts; brothers-in-law, Kenny Johnson and Junior Johnson; and sister-in-law, Lucille Neese.

• There will be a family gathering Saturday, Aug. 31, 2019 at Randy’s home at 1540 Fairway in Liberal.

Friends may call from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 22, 2019 at Brenneman Funeral Home Chapel in Liberal.
