manuel sandoval solisManuel Sandoval Solis, 102, died Sunday, April 14, 2019 at his family’s home in Liberal.

He was born Jan. 4, 1917 to Feliz Sandoval and Felicitas Solis in Tabsaco, Zacatecas, Mexico.

He married Ana Maria Huerta. She preceded him in death. 

He worked in agriculture in Mexico for most of his life working both as a farmer and rancher. When he moved to Kansas, he worked for National Beef. 

He was a member of St. Anthony of Padua Church in Liberal.

Survivors include sons: Abundio Sandoval, Liberal, Jose Sandoval and wife, Martina, Liberal, and Manuel Sandoval Jr. and wife, Clara, Guymon, Okla.; daughters: Socorro Losoyo and husband, Emilio, Liberal, Bertha Sandoval and husband, Jesus, Liberal, and Grace Martinez and husband, Lolo, of Guymon, Okla.; daughter-in-law, Maria Guadalupe Sandoval, Northridge, Calif.; brother, Salvador Sandoval, Mexico; and sister, Maria Sandoval, Mexico. 

He was also preceded in death by his parents; several brothers and sisters; son, Raul Sandoval; daughter in-law, Maria Sandoval; granddaughters, Maria Elena Sandoval and Sandra Ayala; and great-granddaughter, Karina Ayala.

• Rosary will be at at 7 p.m. today St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church in Liberal. 

Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, April 17, 2019 at St Anthony of Padua Catholic Church in Liberal with Father James Dieker presiding. 

Friends may call from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. today. 

Memorials are suggested to St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, in care of the Brenneman Funeral Home 1212 W. 2nd Liberal, KS 67901.
