lori ozbornULYSSES – Lori E. Ozborn, 56, died Thursday, Oct. 3, 2019 at St. Catherine Hospital in Garden City. 

She was born December 13, 1962 to Johnny L. Sr. and Neatta J. (Fox) Ozborn in Plainview, Texas.

She graduated from Ulysses High School in 1981.  She then continued her education at Seward County Community College, where she received her registered nursing degree. 

She worked at Bob Wilson Memorial Hospital and Western Prairie Care Home and worked as a traveling nurse. She also worked an EMT and paramedic, and helped teach CNA classes. 

She was an avid Dallas Cowboys fan. 

Survivors include her mother; son, Chris Ozborn and wife, Helena, Ulysses; brother, John Ozborn and wife, Cheri, Ulysses; sister, Beth Sharp and husband, Jim, Ulysses; a grandchild on the way; and nieces, Sara Loya and husband, Adrian, Ulysses, and Amanda Ozborn and wife, Kat, Ulysses.

She was preceded in death by her father.

• Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 9, 2019 at Celebration Baptist Church in Ulysses with Pastor Jon Becker presiding. 

Burial will follow at the Ulysses Cemetery in Ulysses. 

Friends may call from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 8, 2019 at Garnand Funeral Home in Ulysses. 

Memorials are suggested to the Bob Wilson Memorial Grant County Hospital Auxiliary Scholarship for Higher Education in care of Garnand Funeral Home, 405 W. Grant Ave, Ulysses, KS  67880.
