lori coenLori Lee Coen, 62, died Thursday, Sept. 5, 2019 at her home after a brave fight against cancer.

She was born Jan. 10, 1957 to Wayne and Velma Roberts in Broken Bow, Neb. 

She married Lynn Priest in June 1977. He preceded her in death. 

She married Jay D Coen Sept. 11, 1993. He survives. 

She attended school in Elkhart, and was active in her community, drill team, band and other school activities. In 1975 she graduated from Elkhart High School then attended college in both Kearney, Neb., and Dodge City.  

She shared her positive attitude and loving spirit with her family and friends and with her community.  After her mother passed away in 2010, she and her sister started a fund called "Grammy's Kids" in memory of her. With the help of donations, gifts, and volunteer support, they have helped provide funds for at risk children and families in need.     

She was also instrumental in running the family business alongside her husband Jay D, while maintaining her responsibilities as a wife and mother. She was the family matriarch, a rock and confidante. Caring for others was what she was about.

Survivors also include daughter Michelle and husband Brett and granddaughter, Brooke, Derby; daughter, Robyn Kadel and husband, Brice, Andover; son, Jace Coen and wife, Lauren and grandchildren, Emma and Jaydon Dale, Neosho, Mo.; son, Landon Coen, Colorado Springs; daughter, Marci Priest, Dalhart, Texas; granddaughter, Mia Lynn Bhutto, Yukon Okla.; sister, Julie Talbert and husband, Gary, Elkhart; and many other family and friends. 

She was also preceded in death by her parents; in-laws, Dale and Bonnie Coen; and granddaughter, Nevaeh Ann McKinley Coen.

• Celebration of life services will be Saturday, Oct. 12, 2019 at the Morton County Civic Center in Elkhart.
