Linda Carol Ray, 72, died Friday, June 14, 2019 at Stevens County Hospital in Hugoton.

She was born March 12, 1947 to Charley and Bufford Isch Daugherty in Sayre, Okla.

She attended Hooker Public Schools. 

She married Homer Lee Ray March 11, 1994 in Adams, Okla. He preceded her in  death. 

She worked for 14 years at Hooker High School as a custodian and 15 years at the Dunaway Manor. Her favorite job came after retirement when she began working at her daughter’s daycare.

She also enjoyed growing flowers, playing games, and spending time with all her grandchildren.

Survivors include sons, Terry Journagan and Crystal, Hooker, Okla., and Stacey Journagan, Hooker, Okla.; daughter, Dusty and Roger Redmond, Hooker, Okla.;   brothers, Richard Daugherty, and Justin and Rhonda Daugherty, Hooker, Okla.;  sister, Dixie and Randy Snook, Hooker, Okla.; 10 grandchildren: Sky Redmond, Shaspen and Jake Young, Sheney Redmond, Levi and Keisha Journagan, Cryslen and Fernando Dela Rosa, Brea and Juan Ramirez, Eric Carmondy, Christopher Knoles, Keirston Knoles, and Hanna Campbell; nine great-grandsons; and one great-granddaughter.

She was also preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Barbara Keith and Rhonda Mitchell; and brother, Lamar Daugherty.

• Graveside services took place Monday, June 17, 2019 at the Hooker Cemetery  in Hooker, Okla. with Lance Morrisett presiding.
