MEADE – Lillie F. James, 90, died Friday, Nov. 2, 2018 at the Lone Tree Retirement Center in Meade.

She was born Jan. 5, 1928 to Frank and Goldie (Gant) Atkinson in Springdale, Ark. 

She married Lee James Feb. 1, 1944 in Ada, Okla. He preceded her in death.

She enjoyed sewing, cooking, crafting, and spending time with her family and friends. She loved to read, and she and Lee were active members of the Good Sam Club, with whom they traveled many times.

Survivors include sons, Melvin James, Kingman, Ariz., and Milton James, Tucson, Ariz.; five brothers: James, Eugene, Elmer, Joe, and Jerry Atkinson; sister, Essie James; five grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

She was also preceded in death by her parents; son, Marvin James; and daughter, Deloris James.

• Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 8, 2018 at the Emmanuel Mennonite Church in Meade.  

Burial will follow at the Graceland Cemetery in Meade.

Friends may call from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 7, 2018 at Fidler-Orme-Bachman Mortuary in Meade. 

Memorials are suggested to the Lone Tree Retirement Center in care of the funeral home.
