Lester Jackson, 51, died Wednesday, Aug. 1, 2018 at Northwest Texas Hospital in Amarillo, Texas.

He was born Dec. 6, 1966 in Elkhart. 

He attended school in Elkhart, Hugoton and Beaver, Okla.

After school he entered the oil field as a roughneck working in oil fields near Hooker,  Okla., Beaver, Okla., and Ponca City, Okla.

He attended United Methodist Church in Elkhart and enjoyed building things, fishing,  and rebuilding cars, especially Dodges.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Mary Lou; and an infant sister.

Survivors include sons, Jesse and Jordan Hendricks, Grover, Okla., and William Sandoval-Jackson, Elkhart; three daughters: Amber Davis, Broken Arrow, Okla., Kayla Burd, Tulsa, Okla., and Suzanna Sandoval-Jackson, Elkhart; brothers, Marvin Milburn and Melvin Don Howard, Enid, Okla.; aunt, Maxine Hendricks, Elkhart, and Cassandra Sandoval, Elkhart; six grandchildren: Gemma Davis, Jayleigh Hendricks, Jackson Hendricks, Freya Davis, Abel Burd and Jaizyn Hendricks.

• Burial will take place at 2 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 11, 2018 at the Hooker Cemetery in Hooker, Okla.

Memorials are suggested for the family’s use and may be left at Roberts Brothers Funeral Home, Box 745, Hooker, Oklahoma 73945.
