joyce rorabaughJosephine Rorabaugh, 95, died Saturday, Feb. 2, 2019 at Wheatridge Park Care Center in Liberal.

She was born Sept. 27, 1923 to Nanke Rademaker and Bertha Arnold Rademaker in Emden, Ill. 

She attended school in Hartsburg, Ill., and graduated in 1941. She attended Business College in Bloomington, Ill.

She married Doyle Edgar Rorabaugh Dec. 2, 1945 in Emden, Ill. He preceded her in death Aug. 14, 2003.

She was a secretary/typist for State Farm Insurance Co.

She loved to play cards with family and friends who all enjoyed her good sense of humor. She was a fan of Balko, Okla. sports and music programs. She enjoyed watching all sports on TV and traveling with her husband. She enjoyed the gatherings with family in Illinois. 

Survivors include sons, Teryl (Donna), Liberal, and Rex (Opal), Oklahoma City; daughters, Rita (Kent) Knop, Guymon, Okla., and Rene (Richard) Wester, Liberal; grandchildren: Teri Harp, Brett Rorabaugh, Chad Knop, Kurt Knop, Kara Claborn, Kristin Mantell, Dave Rorabaugh, Zachary Wester, Luke Wester and Jacob Wester; and 13 great-grandchildren.

She was also preceded in death by her parents; infant son, Doyle; brothers: Walter, Arnold, and Ralph; and sisters, Ruth and Rachel.

• Funeral services took place Tuesday, Feb. 5, 2019 at Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church, 1200 West 11th St, Liberal with Pastor Andrew Wehling presiding. 

Burial took place Tuesday, Feb. 5, 2019 at the Ochiltree Cemetery in Perryton, Texas.
