Janice Ann Gurley, 75, died Friday, Nov. 23, 2018 at her home in Hooker, Okla.

She was born Feb. 23, 1943 to Albert Emil Milacek and Ida Mary Streit in Enid, Okla.  

She graduated from Kingfisher High School in 1961.

After graduation, she attended cosmetology school in Oklahoma City, where she worked as a hairdresser until 1976, when she moved her family to Guymon, Okla.   

She worked at Guymon Public Schools as cafeteria manager until her retirement in 2007.  She spent her retirement years traveling extensively across the country and enjoyed several visits to Georgia and Hawaii to see family.

Survivors include daughters, Valinda Grayson and husband Brad, Guymon, Okla., and Melissa Russell, Honolulu; friend and sister, Julia Gurley, Marietta, Ga.; three grandchildren: Bradley Grayson and wife, Amanda, Noble, Okla., Isabella Russell, Hooker, Okla., and Olivia Russell, Norman, Okla.; and great-granddaughter, Violet Katheryn Grayson.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

• Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 1, 2018 at the Kingfisher Cemetery in Kingfisher, Okla. 

Friends may call at from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. today at Roberts Brothers Funeral Home in Hooker, Okla.
