irma pandoULYSSES – Irma (Pauda) Pando, 57, died Friday, May 10, 2019 at her home in Ulysses. 

She was born Oct. 27, 1961 to Marcelino B. Sr. and Genabeba (Felan) Pauda in Lubbock, Texas. 

She worked as a paraprofessional for USD 214 for 28 years. 

She also worked at Russ’ Food Center and Western Prairie Care Home. 

She loved spending time with her daughters and grandkids, and gardening. 

She also enjoyed going to Boot Hill Casino. 

She attended Mary, Queen of Peace Catholic Church in Ulysses.

Survivors include daughters: Melissa Pando-Grice and husband Heath, Amarillo, Texas, Amanda Tarbet and husband Michael, Ulysses, and Magen Delgado and husband, Martin, Ulysses; brothers: Jesse Joe Pauda, Lubbock, Texas, Louie Pauda and wife, Olga, Ulysses, Joe Luis Pauda, Ulysses, Angel Pauda and wife, Ronda, Ulysses, Albert Pauda, Jetmore, Bill Pauda and wife, LaRisa, Liberal, and Sammy Pauda and wife, Michelle, Ulysses; sisters, Geneva Ramos, Ulysses, and Irene Sosa, Ulysses; and eight grandchildren: Hayley Grice, Maya, Ellie, Colt and Brick Tarbet, Malaki, Maddox, and Micah Delgado.

She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Dominga Esquivel; and brothers, Mark and Robert.

• Vigil and rosary services will be at 7 p.m. Wednesday, May 15, 2019 at the Garnand Funeral Home Chapel in Ulysses. 

Funeral mass will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, May 16, 2019 at Mary, Queen of Peace Catholic Church in Ulysses with Reverend James E. Baker presiding. 

Burial will follow at Ulysses Cemetery. 

There will be no public visitation. 

Memorials are suggested to the Down Syndrome Society of Wichita in care of Garnand Funeral Home, 405 W. Grant Ave, Ulysses, KS  67880.
