His family was very dear to him and he cared for all of them, biological and extended and was known for being a very sharing and very straightforward person.

Survivors include children: David Huston Jones, Ellsworth, Larry Dewayne Jones, Shawnee County, Stacie Dianne Jones, Manhattan, and Michael Christopher Jones, Protection; brothers, Darvin Jones and wife, Mary, Urbana, Iowa, and David Jones and wife, Monica, San Luis Obispo, Calif.; sister, Maybell Ingland and husband, Richard, Wilroads Garden; eight grandchildren: Kristen, Brandon, Zach, Joseph, Deborah, Machelle, Hayden and Vincent; nine great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
