Gary Douglas Jacobs, 65, died Tuesday, Nov. 27, 2018 at his home. 

He was born Sept. 14, 1953 to Bobby Dean and Lola Jean Witt Jacobs in Hugoton. 

He married Debra Griggs.

He graduated from Hooker High School with the Class of 1972. 

After graduation, he enlisted in the U.S. Army and ultimately received an honorable discharge.

He worked at the Straight Gas Plant and later was relocated to Ellsworth, working in the oil and gas industry working in five states. He later moved to Granite City, Illinois where he worked in construction. 

He was a fan of hunting, fishing and all outdoor life. 

Survivors include his mother; daughters, Chayla Brock and husband, Stewart, England, and Haley Watson and husband, Paris, San Antonio; four sisters: Elaine and Mark Hill, Hooker, Okla., Yvonne Mathis, Stillwater, Okla., Mira and Mike Maskill, Kansas City, Mo., and Barbara Yowell, Hugoton; and seven grandchildren: Ryan Johnson, Bradley Johnson, Brendon Lee Brock, Emily Brock, Brayden Watson, Sydney Watson, and Reese Watson.

He was preceded in death by his father; his grandparents; brother, Cary; and brothers-in-law, Jeff Yowell and Bryan Mathis.
