FOWLER – Estelle A. (Stellie) Huelskamp, 81, died Saturday, May 11, 2019 at the Shepherd’s Center in Cimarron.

She was born May 18, 1937 to Alexander and Frances (Kisner) Stegman in Dodge City.  

She married Leroy E. Huelskamp Aug. 2, 1958 at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Plains. He preceded her in death March 10, 2015. 

She attended Plains Grade School in Plains. She later attended Sacred Heart Academy in Wichita, graduating in 1955.

In addition to being a farmer's wife, she worked as a bookkeeper.  She was a member of Saint Anthony’s Catholic Church, the Altar Society, the Daughters of Isabelle, and several bridge clubs.  

She enjoyed playing bridge and cards, dining out with her husband, and spending time with family and friends.

Survivors include sons, Tom Huelskamp and wife, Janet, Fowler, and Tim Huelskamp and wife, Angela, Prospect Heights, Ill.; three daughters: Geri Leibham, Ft. Mille, S.C., Cynthia Swingle and husband, Mike, Blue Springs, Mo., and Tammi Schultz and husband, Eric, Metamora, Ill.; 25 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

She was also preceded in death by her parents; 10 brothers: Earl, Ray, Elmer, Leonard, Francis, James, Alva, Carl, Harvey, Ralph, and Marvin; and six sisters: Ann Kitley, Virginia Vanderlip, Elsie Naab, Betty Quigley, Lucy Vossen, and Monica Stegman.

• Funeral services took place Tuesday, May 14 at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church in Fowler.  

Burial took place at the Fowler Cemetery in Fowler.

Memorials are suggested to the St. Anthony's Building Fund, Kansans for Life, or The Shepherd's Center in care of Fidler-Orme-Bachman Mortuary in Meade.
