epifanio vasquezULYSSES – Epifanio (Pifi) Vasquez, 56, died Monday, Oct. 14, 2019 at Bob Wilson Memorial Hospital in Ulysses. 

He was born Aug. 9, 1963 to Ysidoro and Corina (Guerrero) Vasquez in La Mesa, Texas.

He enjoyed watching Chiefs games on T.V. or simply walking about town admiring all it had to offer. 

He was known for being a jokester and every moment was spent making sure everyone left his house laughing. 

He worked as a DJ for many years.   

He also enjoyed watching wrestling and going fishing. 

Survivors include his mother; brothers: Ysidoro Vasquez, Phoenix, David Vasquez, Woodward, Okla., Albert Vasquez, Garden City, and Carlos Vasquez, Woodward, Okla.; sisters: Corina Carabajal, Woodward, Okla., Christina Rivas, El Paso, Texas, and Maria Vasquez, Ulysses; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father; and brothers, Abel Vasquez and Armando Salgado.

• Funeral services took place Thursday, Oct. 17, 2019 at Garnand Funeral Home Chapel in Ulysses with Pastor Stil Guerrero presiding. 

Burial took place at the Ulysses Cemetery in Ulysses. 

Memorials are suggested to Corina Vasquez in care of Garnand Funeral Home, 405 W. Grant Ave, Ulysses, KS  67880.
