Earl “Wayne” Brown, 85, died Sunday, Nov. 3, 2019 at the Pratt Rehabilitation and Residence Center.  

He was born April 16, 1934 to Earl and Mattie (Bryson) Brown in Wayne, Okla. 

He married Mary Lou (Rector) Brown Dec. 24, 1955, in Dodge City. She survives.

He enjoyed hunting, raising cattle, and working. He retired four years ago as a heavy equipment operator from J&R Sand in Liberal.

Survivors also include sons, Neal Brown, Wellsford, and Audie (Amanda) McFarlen, Texhoma, Okla.; brother, Joe Brown, Coldwater; grandchildren: Amy (Craig) Tucker, Pratt, Renee (Glenn) Lightcap, Kinsley, Toby (Molly) Brown, Lawrence, and Taylor and Blayze McFarlen, Texhoma, Okla.; six great-grandchildren; and eight great-great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Rieta Broce; four brothers; and three sisters.

• Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 9, 2019 at Larrison Mortuary, with Pastor Mike McGovney presiding.  

Burial will follow at the Haviland Cemetery in Haviland.

Friends may call from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Friday, Nov. 8, 2019, with family receiving friends from 6 to 8 p.m. at Larrison Mortuary, 300 Country Club Road in Pratt.

Memorials are suggested to Kindred Hospice or Pratt Rehabilitation and Residence Center in care of Larrison Mortuary.
