andres ramirezULYSSES – Andres Ramirez, 49, died Wednesday, May 22, 2019 at Knapp Medical Center in Weslaco, Texas.  

He was born May 5, 1970 to Santos and Teresa Ramirez in Doctor Arroyo, NL Mexico,. 

He married Josefina Moreno in Mexico. She survives.

He worked in construction for W.T. Contractors and lived in Ulysses until moving to Texas. 

He enjoyed fishing and dancing, and was a member of Mary, Queen of Peace Catholic Church in Ulysses. 

Survivors also include sons, Erwin Ramirez, Weslaco, Texas and Andres Ramirez, Weslaco, Texas; daughters, Judith Ramirez, Mexico, and Joani Ramirez, Mexico; brothers: Jose Angel Ramirez, Ulysses, Seferino Ramirez, Ulysses, Jaime Ramirez, Corpus Christi, Texas, Juan Ramirez, Ulysses, and Ray Ramirez, Ulysses; and sisters: Consolacion Garcia, Ulysses, Ermila Sanchez, Ulysses, Virginia Garcia, Oxnard, Calif., and Hortencia Ramirez, Ulysses.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and brother, Venancio.

• Vigil and rosary service will be at 7 p.m. Wednesday, May 29, 2019 at Mary, Queen of Peace Catholic Church in Ulysses. 

Funeral mass will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, May 30, 2019 at Mary, Queen of Peace Catholic Church in Ulysses with Reverend James E. Dieker presiding. 

Burial will follow at Ulysses Cemetery. 

Friends may call from 1 to 5 p.m. Wednesday, May 29, 2019 at Garnand Funeral Home in Ulysses.
