bill hittleHUGOTON – Bill Hittle, 74, died Thursday, Aug. 16, 2018 at Select Specialty Hospital in Wichita.

He was born Feb. 8, 1944 to Walter Rex Hittle and Velma L. (McMillan) Hittle in Stevens County.

He married Linda Marie (Nix) Hittle Nov. 27, 1963 in Hooker, Okla. She survives.  

He was a lifetime resident of Stevens County where he farmed and ranched.

He was a member of the Hugoton Church of Christ and was very active in all the works of the church as elder, teacher, and encourager. He was a supporter of the Christian children’s homes with livestock programs by donating horses. 

He was a past president and lifetime member of the Paint Horse Association.  Bill and Linda raised the World Champion horse Ratchett and the three of them were inducted into Paint Horse Association Hall of Fame.  

He was a lifetime member of the American Quarter Horse and National Rifle Association. 

He was a past member of the Hugoton School Board.
