Eisenhower’s middle school cross country teams traveled to Perryton Saturday to compete in their toughest and biggest meet of the season. 

Seventh and eighth graders ran together. The girls race consisted of 212 runners.

“As a team, our girls placed fifth out of 15 teams,” Eisenhower coach Brandi Fowler said. “Our lone medalist was Hallie West who placed fifth.”

The boys race had 170 competitors.

“Our boys had six kids bring back medals,” Fowler said. 

Jose Relles finished 20th, Daniel Pavia was just ahead in 19th, Angel Real came in 16th, David Villa finished 11th, Daniel Amparan  cracked the top 10 in 10th, and Gideon Wright finished seventh. Theses Warriors placed first as a team with a score of 61. 

The Warriors will travel to Hays to compete at 2:30 p.m. today.
