Huskey and the Redskins jumped out to an early 16-0 lead, but the Boomer were able to cut the deficit to 16-6 with a strip and touchdown run. But the Redskin defense returned the favor when the front line penetrated the Boomer backfield and  disrupted a toss play, leaving the ball on the turf. Aldo Avalos scooped the ball and scampered 38 yards to the end zone, and the Redskins won 24-6.

The game was played in a constant drizzle, and after the Boomers took an early 6-0 lead on a fumble recovery and run for a touchdown, the Redskins came back to take a 16-6 lead. But the Boomers rallied, and late in the fourth quarter Woodward tied the game 28-28 with 56 seconds to play. But Jaylin Staten broke free for a 51-yard touchdown run, his fourth score of the game, and the Redskins won 36-28. L&T photos/Earl Watt
