A Tyrone, Okla., man is in stable condition following a motorcycle accident Saturday morning in Cimarron County, Okla.

The Oklahoma Highway Patrol reported around 11:15 a.m. Saturday, a 2005 Honda VTX was northbound on Cimarron County Road NS3 about four miles north of Cimarron County Road EW 5 or 27.6 miles northwest of Boise City, Okla.

The agency said the driver, 52-year-old David M. Perry of Tyrone, admitted to slowing down before crossing a cattle guard. OHP said Perry then used the front breaks and caused the motorcycle to go into a wobble, losing control and laid down on the right side.

Troopers added Perry’s body came to rest 141 feet from the scene after being ejected from the Honda. Perry was transported by Apollo to Northwest Texas Hospital in Amarillo, Texas, where he was admitted in stable condition with trunk internal and leg injuries.

OHP said Perry was wearing helmet at the time of the accident.
