A residence was struck, but no one was injured, in an accident that took place Tuesday night.

In a press release, Seward County Undersheriff Gene Ward said deputies responded to a non-injury accident Wednesday morning and upon arrival were met by a bull hauler, semi-truck driver from Garden City.

Ward said the driver stated he was driving southbound on U.S. Highway 83 at 9 p.m. Tuesday, when the back duals from his trailer broke off and struck a residence alongside the highway.

“The back duals almost went through the front window of the residence,” Ward said. “No one was home at the time, and no one was injured in the accident.”

Ward added the homeowner would like to remain anonymous.
